In the 21st century a reporter is sent to a space station although he is not wanted by the commander. However they have to work together to stop a space ship that is heading towards earth and will destoy the earth if it arrives. This is a curious film in that it is an early film with a black actor who a central character in the film but with no reference to race in the film. There are also plot lines that were taken and used much better in later films (the computer taking over the space ship in 2001 and firing a missile along a narrow corridor in Star Wars).
